Who do you want to become?
What is a meaningful life to you?
When you look back at your life when you are 80 years old and you say: Wow, I lived my life fully. I did all that was meaningful to me and I was happy. I am proud to have become the person I am today. I have experienced my life to its full extent. That is a vision. Sit down and think what kind of life you want to be living. What do you want to contribute or what do you want to experience in this life?
Some would say “I don’t have a vision for myself.” It doesn’t work like that. Some people do have that moment of revelation. Some people have an awakening, but for most people, it requires hard work and persistence.
Believe You Can Do It
Most people I know don’t believe in themselves. That is a must if you want to live a life fully lived. Believe in your ability to do things you have never done before. At first, you might not have the skills required, but with trial and error, you will become skill full. We should have the belief that with enough time, energy, resources and focus we can develop amazing talents in your chosen field.
Have Fun Chasing Your Dreams
Even if the journey towards your dreams is tough. If you have desire and vision to succeed you are sure going to have fun doing it because you have a passion for it. Picasso had a passion for paintings and was having fun painting whole day. Whatever you are dealing with, whether a person you don’t like or a difficult situation you are facing. Just say “I am going to have fun with all this.” Stop being hard on yourself and have fun doing what you love.
Have Patience and Persistence.
As I have experienced, you might not be making progress as fast as you want to, but that’s just life strange ways of testing us to see if you really want to get to that one thing you set your mind to. Just be patient and allow yourself to deliver quality results. It will take more time that you think but don’t beat yourself up. There are no quick fixes in life, all achievements throughout history needed patience and persistence to be achieved.
We are all playing the game of life. Some are doing their best and some are not doing even the slightest thing to move forward. But you should always respect others who are on the same path as you. Each one of us has a different path and instead of trying to compete you should collaborate with each other. In the book “Think and Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill. He refers to it as having a Mastermind Group, “The coordination of knowledge and effort of two or more people, who work toward a definite purpose, in the spirit of harmony.” Connecting with likeminded people will give you a super boost in life. Like the great Jim Rohn said, “If two or three agree on a common purpose, nothing is impossible.”
