Anything that you wish to accomplish in life requires energy. We all need more energy in some way, as energy is life. But what I see is that most people know what they need to do to have more energy but they don’t value their body enough to do what needs to be done. If they did value their body they would stop putting things that drain energy from their body – Smoking, alcohol, junk food and other substances, etc.

On my never ending personal development journey I discovered the great value of energy and how to master it to achieve big things, which transformed my life. Let me share with you 10 best ways to have more energy right now.

  1. Master Your Breath

We should never ever forget as simple as it is, we can live weeks without food or days without water but only a few minutes without oxygen. Every cell in our body requires oxygen. There are many types of breathing. When you yawn, it is a response to fatigue and your body is telling you that you need more energy. You need to start practising deep and diaphragmatic breathing as your new morning routine. I spend few minutes practising deep breathing each morning.

  1. Drink More Water

Am sure you already drink water every day, but how much? Our body is 70% made up of water but from my point of view, most people are dehydrated. Stop consuming foods and drinks that will dehydrate you. An indication that your body is not getting the amount of water it needs is when you feel thirsty, means you are dehydrated. I always have my 1.5lts bottle with me every day and I consume two of that which is 3lts a day. Of course, it means that I go to the bathroom more, but that’s actually a good thing as my body is flushing out more toxins.

  1. Consume Raw Foods

Most people cook their food before they consume it. That’s is okay, but when you do so, you are killing all the good things like the enzymes and nutrients from the food. If you cook your food I suggest you include more raw food in your diet. There is a natural energetic benefit you gain from consuming raw vegetables, fruit and grains.

  1. Juicing

When you juice your vegetables and fruits you are giving so much goodness to your body and health. I just started this practice and I feel much more energy throughout the day. When you do a juice cleanse it creates an amazing peak, high-level energy for your mind, body and soul. Your body drains energy while digesting the foods you consume. Juicing doesn’t need to be digested by the body so you get a boost of energy whole day if you consume more juices.

  1. Move More

The human body has more than 600 muscles. Do you think all these muscles were given to us to sit all day in an office, in a car or in front of your TV? Of course not. When you sit for long hours, that’s when you feel most tired. I try to stand more and do more activities that doesn’t require sitting. It gives me more concentration, more life and energy. Every day I run, workout or do an intense circuit. It increases the number of red blood cells in my body and gives me more energy.

  1. Sleep More

Make sure that you are getting enough sleep so that you can recover and go full out with all your energy the next day. Studies show that humans need at least 7-8 hours of sleep each day. I believe that it depends on the quality as well. 5 hours of deep sleep is better than 8 hours of interrupted sleep. Tips: Many people sleep with their alarm clock next to their bed, which emit EMFs, which can lower the quality of your sleep. Be sure to set your smartphone on airplane mode to prevent that.

Yes, the world is changing but it doesn’t mean you have to raise your kids the same way as your neighbour does. You must raise your kids to love playing outdoors and physical activities. According to Dr Louis Miceli, today’s kids are less fit than the kids of 20 to 25 years ago. If you keep your kids indoor this will develop a lazy habit and as the child grow up, and it will be hard to change later, so we need to start them early. Lack of exercise is a risk factor for obesity, hypertension and autoimmune disease, among other conditions.

From what I have learned during my fitness journey is that in order to be successful in sports you need the same mindset that you would need to be successful in life as well. Walking is a sport and this means that if you are using your legs you are an athlete.

What athletes have in common is their dedication to being the best they can be and challenge their limitations. This quality can also be applied in other areas of life such as finance, job, relationship, health etc. To make progress you need to set realistic goals. Athletes who enjoy and dedicate themselves to their sports train hard behind the scenes on a daily basis. This nourishes their soul and makes them happy.

The most successful people on the planet are athletes. Yes, to play on top in their industry they must exercise often. Exercise contributes to your success in all areas of life.
