So many times I have been asked what are the habits of successful people that differentiate them from the average people. Successful people get things done and are results oriented and they are the top money earners in today’s society. Everything you do the moment you wake up until you get into bed at night is the results of your habits.
It is very important that you form good habits that will stick rather than being ruled by bad habits. Through discoveries, we have discovered that bad habits are much easier to replace than to unlearn. Habits are formed by repetitions. Everything you do is habits and you should ask yourself what are the habits that will most likely push you forward and adopt those habits.
Here are 6 habits that will take you to the next level if you want to live an extraordinary life:
1 Goal Setting
This has been a winner for me. Before you go to bed every day, think about the goals you need to achieve the next day. If you do not have goals, then get you some to start. Even if it’s just making your bed that’s huge. When you achieve small goals this will lead to more confidence and will boost your self-esteem to set bigger audacious goals. Write your goals in your journal and look at them many times throughout the day. You stay focused on them, and we become what we focus on right? So does successful people. They focus on their goals every single day and so can you.
2 Result Oriented
Now that you have your list of goals, choose the most urgent task you need to complete and put a circle around it. Make sure that you give your all to complete that task first thing every day. This simple technique will make you riches because it has been proven by successful people for hundreds of years.
Discipline yourself to complete your most urgent task until its completely done before moving on to the next.
3 People Oriented
Always think about how you can help the people in your community, your customers, your family or friends because we all need each other. So you need to help others if you want others to help you.
Albert Einstein once said, “humans are here for the sake of other Humans only”.
I believe that without health you have nothing. Think about what you put in your body each day. Are they things that will give you more energy and vitality to achieve big or are you eating crap to feel high in the moment and later you crash down feeling exhausted. I recommend daily exercise and always eat to fuel your body not to satisfy an appetite.
5 Stay Honest
Always be real to the people in your life. The more you are real to those around you the more people will be real to you. Honesty is a great piece of the puzzle practised by successful people. If you are not honest and real you might get successful but it will not be for long. As the bible says, the truth will set you free. So, always be honest and real.
“The ability to make yourself do, what you should do, when you should do it, whether you feel like it or not.” Anyone can do it when they feel like it. But, you do not want to be like anyone. Self-Discipline is the first thing you need to get good at to make habits stick for long-term success.
