KEEP YOUR KIDS ACTIVE

We all know that with the advancement of technology such as the smartphones, tablets, laptops and much more to come in the near future, kids are not playing outdoor anymore as much as they use to. They prefer to spend time with electronic devices. It is true that it’s less headache for parents as they do not need to worry much about their kids as they are indoor playing. Well, that’s a pain in disguise…

Yes, the world is changing but it doesn’t mean you have to raise your kids the same way as your neighbour does. You must raise your kids to love playing outdoors and physical activities. According to Dr Louis Miceli, today’s kids are less fit than the kids of 20 to 25 years ago. If you keep your kids indoor this will develop a lazy habit and as the child grow up, and it will be hard to change later, so we need to start them early. Lack of exercise is a risk factor for obesity, hypertension and autoimmune disease, among other conditions.

Here are three reasons why you need to keep your kids active:

  1. Kids that stays active are more likely to get good grades. It increases their learning capacity, their focus and sense of clarity. After 30 minutes of outdoor activity, kids has an increase of 10% in solving problem capacity, says researchers.
  2. If you raise your kids with the habits of staying active and exercise since a very young age, it’s a winner. Why? Simply because kids are still growing, their body and development process are at its peak. If they exercise early they will get a leaner body and will be less likely to be overweight in the future.
  3. When we observe the best performers out there, we often forget that they started early in whatever they are good at today. This is a great reason to start your kids early as it might develop their talents at a very young age.

Limit time spent on medias, TV, smartphones, video games, tablets or any devices that encourage them to be sedentary in their lifestyle.

Make the move parents.
