If you want to change your life you must change your habits. Where you are right now is the results of the habits you have installed throughout the years. Let’s talk about the power of habits and how you can maintain them to stick for the long term.
Now, I know some of you have big dreams, big goals just like I do. You have what it takes to become that amazing person, to build a great career and contribute to society. But this is all impossible to accomplish without installing great habits that stick.
To make your habit stick, you need a setup trigger that will keep you on track and prevent you from falling off the wagon. Having new goals but old habits are like having a new car with no wheels. The wheels are the things you will need to achieve your goals.
You need trigger moments to activate your habits or intentions. It is okay to have intentions to do something but it is more important to set a reminder on your phone that will trigger you into doing it.
For example, if you want to start deep breathing three times a day, set three reminders that will trigger you to do it throughout the day at different times with the label DEEP BREATHING showing on your phone when the reminder goes off.
This trigger method can be applied to any new habits you want to stick to. Do you want more energy? Do you need to start drinking more water? Do you need to remind yourself to stay calm? Set a trigger.
After applying this to my own life, reminding myself of the habits I need to stick with, everything started to change for me. You will feel a sense of engagement and accomplishment. You will be easily tracking your progress and create a magnificent life in the process.
